How to Change Apple ID [Guide]

How to change Apple ID is a question asked by a lot of users. They usually get frustrated after they find that their accounts in other companies are having the same issues. If you already log in to your Apple ID and sign in with a different one, you may lose your previously purchased apps, Apple Music account, and even your iCloud storage space. The good news is that it’s not too late to change your account and gain access to all the goodies that the other company has to offer.

There are many reasons why you need to change your Apple ID. Whether you are losing data from the old device or if you want to try something new, it’s advisable that you change your ID before it’s too late. There are lots of risks involved in losing your data especially if the device is used frequently. This is especially true if you’re using your mobile phone or tablet as your ID.

It’s never too late to change apple ID but before we proceed, let’s see what actually causes your account to be lost or compromised. Usually, when someone gets into your iPhone or iPad, they either have your username and password or reset your password. This is the primary reason why you must change your Apple ID immediately. You can follow the tips below on how to change it.

Changle Apple ID password

If you already have the problem of losing your account, one of the first things that you must do is to change your Apple ID password. This step isn’t that complicated. To begin, log into your account and find the option for editing your security settings. Here, you would have to select the lock icon along with the option for changing the password. Once you’ve done so, click on the “submit” button which again prompts you to type in your new password.

After doing this, you’ll then be prompted to enter new security questions. Type in your new ones and hit the return key on your keyboard. This will bring up a new page. You’d then have to click on “change” next to “Change Your Account Security Questions”. Type in your new answers and hit on the return key to finalize everything.

As you might know, updating your iTunes and installing new applications can update your profile. When you try to update your apple ID, you’ll receive a message saying that your profile is not valid. If you want to update your account, you need to sign in to the itunes site using your new user ID. When you log in, the update process will be enabled and you can then go ahead with the application installation. It is advisable, however, to make sure you have a backup of all your passwords as well as the user ID and password of any third-party applications you might use.

It is also possible that your username and password may have been changed as a result of an error while creating your profile. To restore your previous username and password, you can go to the “profile” area and then go under “Usernames and Passwords” and then click on ” Restore Account”, which should be the option you had previously selected before logging in. This will successfully revert your profile to its previous state, including changing your username and password. If however, your username and password have already been reset, then you can still sign in to the site by selecting “log in” and then choose “reset password or username” to set your ID back to its previous state.

Finally, if your device hasn’t completely reset (i.e., you’re still signed in to the site), then one thing you can do is to log on to a different terminal. Immediately after, go to the device’s login area and then type “suppress networking on”, which should be the default selection. This should allow you to log in again on that terminal. If not, then you need to contact Apple support to have your resetting procedure carried out as it will only be able to be done if you have access to the technical support service itself.
